AWARDS CEREMONY FOR THE NEW 13 MACHINISTS OF FERROTRAMVIARIA SPA

On September 12, 2013, next the General Directorate of Transport of Ferrotramviaria SpA was held a ceremony during which they were delivered from driver licenses to thirteen young people who have passed the training course organized by Ferrotramviaria, underpinned by their instructors accredited to the ANSF, the National Agency for the Safety in Railways.

Attending the ceremony there was Gianni Giannini, the Deputy Mayor for transport respectively and the Executive Staff of the Company, the CEO, Count Enrico Maria Pasquini, the Director General for the Transport , Engineer Massimo Nitti and the Director of the Railway Exercise, Engineer Michele Ronchi.

The Director of the Company in his speech stated that "Our investment was targeted, with which we also wanted to give a strong signal in a time of crisis, during which all are expecting for better times. We have confidence in the future and young people, giving them an opportunity that they have been able to immediately grasp. On the horizon of our company there are several projects of great importance for our region: our goal is to focus on growth and development of economic and infrastructural progress, involving the best professionals in our land."

The talk is now passed to the General Director of Transport, Engineer Massimo Nitti, who says "The project is in logical continuity with the business strategy that, in addition to the important achievements with the metropolitan railway for the San Paolo and the recent railway link to the airport, has the objective of further growth in passenger and freight services in the belief that the railway should be at the service of the city and the region."

In this growth Ferrotramviaria then launched a selection procedure, after which in thirty were in possession of the necessary requirements, thus distinguishing between the two hundred initial requests received. During a second selection were chosen in fifteen to participate in the course, which was passed by thirteen units, as unfortunately two have not overcome the obstacle of medical examinations. The thirteen selected participants with an average age of 28 years and are graduates or graduates, while demonstrating a strong will to continue the training process.

Then followed a training course, the burden of which was supported by the Company and which enabled him to get the license or a title of ownership of the holder, that can be be spent on the entire territory of the Community, certifying the possession of professional qualifications and physicians, for a validity period of 10 years. At the end of the training that took place in June and July, have been undertaken in seven, which were found to be first on the list. Thanks to this training process are thus able to obtain supplementary protection certificate, issued by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.

Among these is a novelty in the heart for the Ferrotramviaria, in fact we see a woman appears to be the "first machinist" of Ferrotramviaria and that has also shown a particular sensitivity, ensuring and increasing at the same time the female presence that is today already present in Ferrotramviaria. The remaining five (and among them there is a woman) will be organized to brief the same training process, at the conclusion of which will be to implement a basin whose professional Ferrotramviaria can draw when it will be necessary to expand the number of of drivers.
